The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
This verse shows us gods feelings towards humans. He “regretted that he had made human beings” He wished he had never done it. His creation was so imperfect that we caused him to be “deeply troubled”
Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
But wait, why does it say in Numbers that god is specifically not like a “human being”, and does not change his mind. The great flood would indicate otherwise, he sure changed his mind about loving every human, and changed his mind about how good his creation was.
